Medco Sports Medicine is working with Cramer Sports Medicine and the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society to ensure high school athletic trainers have the supplies they need for their athletes.

AMHERST, NY, July 19, 2021 – Medco Sports Medicine (Medco), the leading supplier of athletic training and sports medicine products, has partnered with Cramer Sports Medicine (Cramer) and the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society (PFATS) to donate athletic training supplies and equipment to recipients of the 2021 PFATS High School Initiative. Established in 2018, the initiative ensures high school athletic trainers receive essential supplies and equipment necessary to provide athletic health care to student athletes.

As the official Education Partner of PFATS, representing the athletic trainers of the National Football League (NFL), Medco will contribute donations to recipient high schools in four NFL communities across the United States. This year’s selected NFL communities are the Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins, Washington Football Team, and Detroit Lions. Each school will receive $2,000 in supplies and equipment.

Medco believes it is important that all athletes, regardless of skill level, have access to an athletic trainer and training supplies to support health, safety, and athletic performance. This community outreach initiative creates a key opportunity to positively impact hundreds of student athletes and increase awareness of youth sports safety.

“As the leading manufacturer and distributor in sports medicine, Medco is dedicated to giving back to local high schools in NFL communities in partnership with PFATS,” said Mike Finke, Medco General Manager. “Through the High School Initiative, we can help schools get the tools they need to keep our country’s young athletes healthy.”

Official athletic trainers from each NFL team will present the donations to their selected high schools in local events beginning this week:

  • The Miami Dolphins have selected Miami Norland Senior High School as their local recipient. Kyle Johnston, Head Athletic Trainer for the Miami Dolphins will present Miami Norland Senior High School with their donation. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is closed to the public.
  • The Washington Football Team have selected Eastern Senior High School as their local recipient. Doug Quon, Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Washington Football Team will present Eastern Senior High School with their donation on July 23, 2021 at 11 am.
