Medco Launches New PunchOut Feature Simplifying Purchasing

 
March 18th, 2022 – Medco Sports Medicine (Medco), has launched a new PunchOut feature simplifying purchasing on their website. The new capabilities save time, allowing users to browse Medco’s website and order within their existing e-procurement system. Learn more about the new PunchOut feature here.

We are excited that our new PunchOut feature simplifies the buying and supply chain management process for many of our customers,” says Mike Finke, General Manager at Medco Sports Medicine. 
 
The new PunchOut feature makes supply chain management easier. It offers an enhanced user experience generating POs and streamlines item master data management. Users can enjoy seamless ordering with no need to enter “special” items into eProcurement software or ERP system. Buyers can even load “Favorites Lists” by department to drive standardization of products ordered. The system also offers “real-time" visibility to current stock status and suggested substitutions for any backordered items.  
 
It’s simple to access Medco’s website through the user’s facility’s existing portal, shop for products, and view them in the cart. The PunchOut e-procurement system is compatible with a variety of e-procurement systems including Workday, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Protigo Solutions, and more (these systems are not affiliated with Medco). When customers are done, they click “Transfer Cart” to return to their e-procurement system and generate the order. The order can be sent to Medco by EDI, email, or fax. Then customers can use Medco’s self-service order tracking to stay up to date on when the shipment will arrive. 
 
When it’s time to implement the new PunchOut feature, Medco’s IT Team is ready to offer support. They will coordinate with the facility’s IT staff for quick and easy integration and have experience with launching PunchOut on multiple e-procurement software or ERP system platforms.
