Overview

Moderate Resistance to Stretch

The moderate resistance to stretch and drape helps to achieve an exact fit and good conformability. 100% memory allows for re-molding and splint revisions which reduces waste for less experienced therapists. Transparent when heated provides identification of pressure points and landmarks to provide maximum comfort.

Characteristics

Different handling and performance properties are required for the varied caseloads and client groups that clinicians work with. Thickness variations determine if the splint is ideal for lightweight to firm support, static or dynamic splints, or the extremity needing the splint.

Bond Ability

Coated material is often easier to handle and allows for a temporary bond when warm, but once cooled the bond is not permanent. The coating may be removed to create a permanent bond with spirits or by safely scratching the splint surface. The coated surface is also great for long-term splint use as it is less porous and easier to clean.
