Designed with Responders in Mind
Able to withstand drops from 4 ft. and extreme temperatures, the Philips HeartStart AED is ideal for treating cardiac arrest. Its lightweight design makes it easy to take on the field with athletes. Its carry case also features a unit that gives voice instructions, a four-year standby life, quick reference guide, and a set of SMART Pads II.
Easy Maintenance and Care
Once set up, the FRx does a series of automatic self-tests daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure it is ready for when you need it. This allows the AED unit to verify the functionality of its circuits and symptoms. The SMART Pads II can be used on adults and children. In addition, the defibrillator gives additional CPR instructions as to how to treat a child or infant under 55 pounds, or 0-8 years old. There is also an optional Infant/Child Key that can be put into the device to adjust therapy and instructions given, getting rid of the need to have additional pads for an infant or child.
Innovative Technology
The FRx AED is made with a patented Quick Shock feature. This allows the defibrillator to send a shock within 8 seconds after CPR has happened, which is said to help survival rates. It also has easy setup with voice commands paced to stay in time with the user’s actions, along with visual icons to help guide the user through treating sudden cardiac arrest. This helps simplify pad placement and uses audio cues to help the responder follow real-time cues for the appropriate number, rate, and depth of chest compressions.
