Robitussin Helps You Fight Your Cold Symptoms
Robitussin provides a relief and control of cough and congestion (specifically Peak Cold Cough & Chest Congestion DM), thin and loosen mucus, and relieve chest congestion. The easy-to-carry, non-drowsy formula alleviates cold symptoms with a simple 20mL dose for adults over the age of 12 years old.
Formulated with Dextromethorphan & Guaifenesin
The oral medication is formulated with two active ingredients: Dextromethorphan and Guaifenesin. Dextromethorphan is an antitussive drug used to help relieve constant coughing. It helps stop your cough by decreasing the activity in your brain that triggers your impulse to cough. Guaifenesin belongs to a class of drugs called expectorants. These drugs help loosen up and thin mucus in your throat and lungs, making your coughs more productive. It clears your airways, making it easier for you to breathe.
Thins & Loosens Mucus to Relieve Chest Congestion
This non-drowsy medication temporarily relieves coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritation. It also helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin-bronchial secretions to drain bronchial tubes. Loosening mucus also helps to relieve chest congestion. Robitussin does not aid coughs related to smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.
