The SAM XT Extremity Tourniquet is an innovative life-preserving tourniquet device that is engineered for quick application during times of emergency or in stressing environments to stop the flow of blood by compressing a limb with the tourniquet. The SAM XT Extremity Tourniquet is ideal for emergency medical professionals, military, and police to quickly and efficiently stop the bleeding and preserve life. The design of the tourniquet requires fewer windlass turns, less adjustments, and decreases the application variation between users and patients. The easy-to-use tourniquet allows for rapid application by a simple click, twist, and secure which provides the optimal force needed to stop the bleeding and preserve life.
Featured Technology
The SAM XT Extremity Tourniquet features a number of different unique features and technology to provide an innovative tourniquet. The main cause of failed tourniquet applications is slack but the SAM XT is equipped with TRUFORCE Buckle Technology that auto-locks to eliminate nearly all tourniquet slack by incorporating innovative baseline force, control, and activating locking prongs. The tourniquet features the TRUFLEX Plate that is made of 100% nylon and distributes force while providing support for the Metal Windlass Rod. The Metal Windlass Rod is made of lightweight aluminum that is designed to tighten the tourniquet for applying the proper force. Single layer nylon webbing Precision Strap allows the TRUFORCE Buckle to lock in place while providing the right amount of pressure. A weather resistant and night vision-optimized Time Band allows for reliable security and accurate documentation of time.
