SICKLEDEX detects the presence of Hemoglobin S in patient samples. Each test kit contains two bottles of phosphate buffer with Saponin, two buffer dispensing caps, and two vials of Sodium Hydrosulfite reagent powder. Each test requires 2ml of reconstituted solubility buffer and 20μl of Sickle-Chex. The reconstituted solution has an open-vial stability of 45 days when stored at 2-10 degrees Celsius, while unopened kit components are stable for 12 months when stored at 2-30 degrees Celsius. A ten place test tube reading rack is also available.
